Learning Objectives

Brookings' learning objectives (LOs) were established by the district's elementary and intermediate music team in 2018. They provide guidance to teachers in developing lessons that ensure appropriate, sequential, and consistent instruction among all buildings. Connections to South Dakota state music standards are listed in parentheses. Beginning in the 2019-2020 academic year, K-5 students' learning based on these LOs will be communicated to parents/guardians on report cards.
